The One Who I Love

Updated: Aug 18, 2020

This week, or should I say, the past few weeks have just been a bit much—and I was really not going to post this week. Despite the crazy, this week is also a week of celebration in our home.

This week is the week that we celebrate our anniversary (6 years) as well as my husband’s birthday. If you follow along with my stories on IG, you would’ve caught pictures of our wedding day as well as one of my model husband. Anniversaries and birthdays are such a great time to reflect, and there has been a lot of that going on over here.

Parenthood has changed us (for better, in general) and it has made things busier than ever. We have to be super intentional with what we focus on.

With a little one that still requires so much from us, it can be so easy to lose focus on our relationship and on ourselves. We have grown a lot in the past year and have taken on things that we probably wouldn’t have seen ourselves doing at this point even 4 years ago, and I am really proud of us.

I have to give a shout out to my husband—my main source of encouragement with this blog. He constantly reminds me of my “why”. He is my sounding board for ideas and the one I vent to—all the time. He challenges me to push myself out of my comfort zone, because that’s where the amazing happens. Despite his busy schedule he ensures that I can get uninterrupted time to write when needed and he also does all the proofing of my content (often at the last minute). Through the chaos of the past two years (and many before that), he has been such a huge support. I love him for that.

So, please join me in wishing an amazing birthday to the one whom my heart and soul loves!

Note: Make sure to check out my IG stories as I share some of our moments from our well-deserved upcoming travels (as well as some other things 😊).
